Pranaam Hospitals made significant strides in advancing healthcare innovation with the successful organization of the G-SPARC Pre-Conference Workshop 2024. Focusing on “Advanced Innovations and Techniques for Infection Control in Adults, Paediatrics, and Neonatal ICUs,” the workshop took place at the SVM Grand Hotel, Miyapur, Hyderabad. The event attracted over 150 healthcare professionals, including participants from Telangana, Congo, and South Africa, both in-person and via online platforms.
This workshop served as a precursor to the main G-SPARC Conference, scheduled from October 3-5, 2024. Hosted by Pranaam Hospitals and led by Managing Director Dr. Manish Gour and Group CEO Dr. Annie Thakore, the event emphasized cutting-edge solutions for infection control, patient safety, and antibiotic stewardship in critical care settings.
Keynote Speeches: Elevating Standards of Care The event commenced with a keynote address by Chief Guest Dr Ranga Reddy Burri, who emphasized the global significance of infection control. “In today’s interconnected world, the fight against infections, particularly in critical care, is more crucial than ever. This workshop serves as a collaborative platform for healthcare experts to exchange knowledge on new technologies and best practices that will save lives,” he remarked.
Shri Govind Hari highlighted the importance of community and institutional collaboration to strengthen infection control measures. “Continuous education, innovation, and a dedicated healthcare workforce are key to overcoming challenges and improving outcomes, especially for the most vulnerable populations,” he added.

Group CEO Dr Annie Thakore focused on the importance of antibiotic stewardship. “With the rise of multidrug-resistant organisms, we must focus not only on treating infections but also on preventing them. Our goal is to equip healthcare professionals with the tools and techniques to combat infections proactively and maintain the highest standards of care,” she explained.
Dr Saket Bandal, representing Mr. Rajeev Chourey, delivered a deep analysis of AI-powered infection surveillance, discussing its potential to revolutionize infection control by predicting outbreaks and tracking antibiotic resistance and the remarkable journey of G-SPARC’s pre-conferences, highlighting their growing demand and unprecedented success, which have now become a historic milestone in the field of healthcare innovation and infection control.
The inaugural function, which began with the lighting of the lamp, concluded with a special felicitation ceremony led by Dr Gour. The honoured guests included Chief Guest Dr Ranga Reddy, Shri R. Govind Hari, Dr Saket Bandal, Ms. Spoorti, Dr Bala Vidyadhar, Mr. Pranav Kumar, Dr Sweta Bandal, Ms. Nimisha Appukuttan, Dr Adnan Ismail, and Mr. Rajeev Chourey, recognized for their contributions to the success of the pre-conference and the upcoming G-SPARC event.
