Dr. N. V. Muralidhar Vakkapati, MD (Anaesthesiology), is a skilled and dedicated Consultant Anaesthesiologist with over 12 years of clinical experience, currently practicing at Pranaam Hospitals. He completed his MD in Anaesthesiology from Kasturba Medical College,Manglore under Manipal University (2016–2019) and earned his MBBS from Konaseema Institute of Medical Sciences,Amalapuram affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (2008–2014). He has actively contributed to academic research, including presenting a rare case report on Seckel Syndrome at ISACON South Zone 2018 and conducting and presenting a study on the efficacy of caudal levobupivacaine with and without fentanyl in pediatric infraumbilical surgeries. He regularly updates his knowledge through CMEs in obstetric anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia, and critical care.
Dr. Vakkapati has comprehensive expertise in administering safe, evidence-based perioperative anaesthetic care across a broad spectrum of specialties, including General Surgery (major procedures such as Whipple’s procedure and abdominal perineal resection), Orthopaedics (including spine surgeries and ultrasound-guided nerve blocks), Obstetrics and Gynaecology (including labour epidural analgesia and USG-guided TAP blocks), Paediatric surgery (including caudal blocks), Neurosurgery, Oncosurgery, Plastic Surgery, and Urosurgery including renal transplantation. He is proficient in advanced airway management, including difficult airway handling with video laryngoscopy and fiberoptic bronchoscopy. His critical care experience includes emergency intubations, ventilatory management, resuscitations, and code blue response. He also provides comprehensive pain management services, including USG-guided stellate ganglion blocks and epidural steroid injections, and delivers monitored anaesthesia care for high-risk patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Certified in BLS and ACLS, he is known for his clinical precision, calm decision-making in emergencies, strong interdisciplinary collaboration, and unwavering commitment to patient safety and perioperative excellence.
