One of the most popular and sought after treatments with a reasonably high success rate involves extracting eggs from the ovaries and combining them with the sperm from the semen provided by the partner or donor to initiate fertilisation. Once this process is complete and results in one or more embryos, they are then implanted into the uterus and await to undergo a pregnancy after two weeks. 

Another popular treatment method with reasonable success, allows our doctors to extract sperm from the partner or donor, which is then taken to the lab for testing enabling our team to segregate the motile from the non-motile sperm and then inseminated directly into the uterus through the cervix using a very thin catheter. This process is done closer to the ovulation period allowing less time for the sperm to travel to fertilise the egg. 

Developed as a solution for low motility in sperm and one of the causes for male infertility, this process allows our team to collect or extract sperm from the partner or donor. Meanwhile, the matured eggs from the female are also extracted by the means of a laparoscope and taken into one of our sophisticated labs to inject the sperm directly into the egg and fertilisation is expected to follow this process which may take around 3 to 5 days. The embryos are then placed into the uterus post fertilisation using a thin instrument known as a catheter.

In the event a previous IVF cycle or fertility treatment may have failed, excess embryos and semen samples are taken during the treatment cycle in order to preserve them for later to achieve pregnancy using another method if the former was unsuccessful.
